I was supposed to make a simple headband but decided to consume the remainder of this yarn. I still don’t have buttons so the photo will only show you where the button should be. The pattern is very simple, good for beginners. 🙂

Simple Buttoned-Neckwarmer

  • Lion Brand Lion’s Pride Woolspun (Weight 5; Bulky Yarn)
  • 16” circular knitting needle (size 6.5mm)
  • Yarn needle
  • 1” Button (optional)
  • Tape Measure
  • Scissors

Top Band: Cast on 10 stitches. Work 2×2 ribbing for 20”. Knit ribbing in flat. Row 1 – K2, *P2, K2. Repeat * to end. Row 2 – P2, *K2, P2. Repeat * to end.
Connect top and bottom ends together to form top band.

Body: Pick up and knit 76 stitches along one end of the band. Work 2×2 ribbing in round until the neck warmer measures 5” from top to bottom. Bind off in pattern. Weave ends.

Optional: Sew button as a design. See photo of button placement.
